Hello friends, it's me Duncan Trussell and you're listening to the Duncan Trussell Family

Hour podcast and this intro is being recorded within the New York mansion of comedian

Ari Shafir who headed out to me and Mar with a backpack filled with t-shirts, underwear,

I guess that's it. I don't even think there were pants in there but he was kind enough to

allow us us being me and uh Quora my wonderful girlfriend to stay at this incredible mansion

while we look for an apartment here in New York and man what a great pad Ari has.

It's a three-story Victorian house in Manhattan and it is sprawling.

It's an incredible place. I think there's six bedrooms. There's a salarium. He's got a aviary with

live in avian. I don't know what you call him. His name is Hans Shent and he takes care of Ari's

birds. A lot of very rare birds. Some not so rare. A couple of just basic carrier pigeons. An ostrich,

some swans, a pelican and a beautiful golden cage filled with multi-colored parrots,

some sparrows and there's also a couple of aquariums filled with deadly snakes that he keeps near

the birds for some reason. The birds don't seem to care. He's got a grotto surrounding a subterranean

swimming pool that's 17 feet deep. Little caves that the pool goes in and out of. Some of these caves

filled with shelves covered in a variety of different types of butt plugs and there's entire

rooms of this beautiful Victorian mansion filled with glory holes and it really is a beautiful

testament to Ari's hard work. It's beautiful and I'm so grateful to him. I'm sure he's not listening

to this wherever he happens to be roaming but much thanks to him for giving us a launching pad to

find a new place in New York City and I have many grand proclamations and observations I want to
