Hello and welcome to the Derek Hunter podcast.

I am Dean Carriannis. You probably know me by now as the guy Derek calls when life calls him.

When you need someone to step in, Derek, as you may have heard on Thursday show if you listened,

said he's been encouraging me to do more of this. He wants me to get more reps, and I appreciate

the opportunity. And so I decided I would ask him directly instead of us being cryptic back and

forth. Our texts tend to be very cryptic. And I said, if you want to say, you want me to do it and you didn't say it on air, let me just ask you flat out. Because last week, he just didn't do a Monday show. And I thought maybe I would do it. And we really didn't have the communication. So all of you out there deserve better than that. You sign up for a five-day-a-week show. And so I'm going to start helping Derek more, deliver those. And I hope you'll join me on Mondays. Derek, unlike a lot of hosts, is not somebody who's comfortable repeating himself all the time. And I don't mean that in a selfish way, but he wants to be able to give you some value. And he doesn't want to just do what he does on the terrestrial

radio show for the podcast. That's why he has things like the weekend effort review and he does

some sound bites that he may not play on the radio and it's also hard to keep it all straight in your

And so without further ado, I'll tell you what I have been happy to be with you and have the opportunity. Thanks, Derek. And so without further ado,

I'll tell you what I have been up to. And that is sickness. I've had a real nasty cold. And then

I tried that new food everyone is talking about. I don't know what the big deal is. You

probably heard about this food. It's called weak old shrimp yes yes one of the things about

having a cold and having your spouse also have a cold as my wife katherine did is you lose track of time

and you lose track of what is good in the refrigerator and so this may not bode well for my intelligence

quotient i had some shrimp.

My wife had one of them.

And then she said, I don't think I'm going to have anymore.

And I think maybe that was in her head, her taste, something she sensed, wasn't right,

although she didn't consciously notice.

And so, of course, me, because I am the step between my wife, the garbage. I'm out there in the dumpster with

the raccoon. Probably many of you husbands feel the same way. I have overcome both sicknesses,
