Those of us who read the Bible believe that there is a demonic conflict accelerating in these last days,

and there is going to be a last battle.

The United States. And here to talk about this and many other subjects is the author of a book called veneration. What could that mean?

Veneration. Derek Gilbert, welcome back to Prophecy Watchers. Well, it's an honor to be here, Gary.

And I've got to give credit to my wife Sharon, who's the co-author on the book here, for inspiring

us to write this book. She realized that the research that we've been doing the last few years for previous books, both for my nonfiction work, but for her fiction

series called the Red Wing Saga, has dealt with these ancient spirits that the Hebrews called

Refayim, the Greeks and Romans called them Damones. Today, there are people who believe that the spirits of their ancestors.

But in fact, in truth, they stem from the Nephilim, the giants, the mighty men who were of old who were destroyed in the flood.

And the thing is, this is a very modern topic.

This is not just interesting history.

This isn't boring theology. This influences our

world in a very relevant way in pop culture, in alternate religions, and it's even seeping into the

church. And before we go on, I should mention that Sharon Gilbert gets top billing. And rightly so.

And rightly so. And I'm going to open a veneration to Chapter 22, which is intriguingly titled

The Dead in Space. Now fill us in. Background us a little bit. We've been talking about

the old gods, the rebels, and a war that's been going on in the heavens now for thousands of years in our time.

And we talk about the biblical conclusion of this great war in the book of Revelation.

And this is very exciting to me because we're getting so close.

And our Lord is poised in the heavens to come back and just do the final battle,

get rid of these bad guys once and for all. And I can't wait personally. But in the meantime,

things are going on, like chapter 22, the dead in space. And you talk about fiction, modern fiction, and the effects that it's had on society.
