Hello and welcome to the price of football, the show that looks at the money behind the

beautiful game and is officially delighted that surely FC have progressed further in the

FA Cup than Crystal Palace FC. Unaffishably furious but officially magic of the Cup,

yeah yeah, that's a lot. I'm Kevin Day and he's the one that's chuckling his little

four-universe disc here in McGuire who as we speak is still in with a chance of a trip

to Wembley here. Well I am, I'm counting absolutely zero chickens and I think I can't

even gloat about Palace losing because we're recording this on Sunday morning and Brighton

haven't yet been defeated by Newport in a slightly bigger cup upset so I'm going to

be very delicate with what I say about the FA Cup. Yeah I'd get you gloating you know,

I didn't mind. It's a tragic thing to admit that my only consolation Friday night was that

our game finished slightly before us to the Luzuf team lost to Liverpool so we were officially

the first team knocked out on the third round of the FA Cup which is some small consolation.

It's a Mickey Mouse tournament here, we all know that Kevin. Kear and his questions

David, we do have a couple of news stories to bring our lovely listeners and well we may

as well get this over and done with Kear and because they ask for it every week and they

moment they're not in but here they are, Derby County, up first, now what?

Well a report came out in the athletic Saturday night which was shortly after they'd been

knocked out of the FA Cup by Nonlead Chawley to say that the December wages have not been

fully paid for all players. Now this had been rumbling on a couple of weeks ago and at

the time people thought it was connected to a potential takeover but we're now, you know,

we're now it's 9th of January, 10th of January. You would have thought that any short

term issues would have been sorted out so it's not helping a situation which has rumbled

...
