Join me for this mini festive themed coffee break German lesson.

When I was a young teenager living in Vienna with my family, one of my favourite festive activities was visiting

the Vienna Christkindle Mart, the Christmas market in Vienna. I loved wandering round the beautifully

lit stalls, taking in all the sights and scents,

and enjoying a bite of traditional Austrian festive food.

So today, I'd like to share a few of my memories of the Vienna Christkindlemark

at Rathouseplatz in German.

The Vienna Christkindlemark is wondroushune.

The Rathouseplatz, the town hall Square, is full of stalls selling everything from wooden crafts

and glass bibles to handmade soaps and candles and even warm woolen hats and scarves.

And some stalls sell traditional festive food and drink.

I also remember the little arts and craft stations that were set up inside the Rathouse,

the town hall, and it had me so much space made there to bustle.

I really enjoy doing arts and crafts there.

Now, today I've got a little Christkindle-marked-related challenge for you.

I'll read five sentences in German,

describing my memories of visiting the Vienna Christkindlemark, and the sentences are quite long and a bit challenging, but give it a go

and see how much you can understand. After each sentence, I'll pause for a moment,

then I'll talk through the festive and winter-themed vocabulary

and give you the English translation.
