as usual by Nick Roush and Louisville. And we're here to talk about Kentucky's 42 to 41

against Ole Miss and preview Saturday night's game against Mississippi State.

And let's get right to it. We've asked for questions to somewhat review the Ole Miss game.

So Nick, fire away, my friend.

Well, I think most of the questions are about Kentucky's past defense and rightfully so

after Matt Karel tore up the cats and West asks, how quickly can the past defense improve?

Can we expect a big jump this week or will it have to be a steady improvement over the course of

the season? I think it's got to be a steady improvement. I mean, you can see numbers

ironically with Mississippi State average in 468 past yards per game. They're predicting the

whether people are predicting a monsoon or a lot of rain Saturday night. So that could slow

down that offense considerably. But yeah, I think it's got to be steady over time.

Grab White talked about it's not just the defense of backs. It's the complete defense as a whole.

You know, the past rushers aren't creating a lot of quarterbacks acts,

flowback pressures. There's been missed tackles, missed assignments and other things. So it's

a complete defensive effort. And I think that it would be a slow steady improvement rather than

overnight things. And I think too, Freddie, that when you talk about the team effort,

you got to get more socks and create more kind of habit plays like we talked about last week.

And I do think that with KJ Costello, who's not as mobile, I think that should help the past

defense in general, because you should be able to get a little bit more pressure on him than

Matt Keral and BoNix. You're a pretty above average runners.
