From Chicago to L.A. to Austin, Texas, and Atlanta, Georgia, the Trump administration has

launched an immigration enforcement blitz nationwide that ICE says resulted in the arrest

of nearly 1,000 people yesterday. White House borders are Tom Homan called the effort in Chicago

a, quote, game changer,

citing arrests of sexual offenders and Venezuelan gang members.

Some immigrant communities, though, are shell-shocked by the operations.

This woman in a Chicago suburb says her Mexican father was taken by ICE yesterday,

after living in the U.S. for 30 years.

I'm already heartbroken myself, and I can already imagine little kids whose families are

breaking apart because of this.

Illinois Attorney General Kwame Raoul said immigration enforcement should be taking place,

but not for political reasons.

It's a wide net seemingly being casted, and inevitably you'll have effects of the racial

profiling and upsetting a community that would otherwise collaborate with law enforcement.

Columbia is sending two of its government planes to pick up migrants in the U.S.
