Ingram Smith, Bud Elliot, back again for another episode of the Nollcast, Bud.

We will turn our attention tonight to the quarterback position.

There's a reason why we waited on this position group and in due time ended up being rewarded as a rather

significant happenstance has taken place and it will certainly shape the

conversation that we have tonight.

A lot of talk about a potential quarterback battle,

even some words and some rumors or at least a train of thought getting out that maybe the battle wouldn't be what a lot of people thought it was and that

Jimbo Fisher might be in a place to name

De André Francois starter earlier than some expected and with the idea that McGuire will miss the next four weeks a battle that we talked about and thought about that might happen is never going to take place.

So we'll have a conversation tonight that's reflective of the fact that

McGuire is out for another four weeks and for all intents and purposes De André,

Francois is your starting quarterback for the 2016 Florida State Seminoles.

Which, Angar, I think we thought would happen anyway, just based on what we've been hearing that

McGuire would would not beat out gender Francois.

And really if you stacked them up, which we were going to do on the podcast, I guess we can do very briefly here.

They were really kind of similar players.

They both have big arms, Francois probably a little bit bigger.

They both, at least based on what Francois did in high school

and in the spring game and what little we've seen of them.

They both like to take a lot of chances.

If McGuire was a legitimately safe option, a game manager type who they could really trust to play low turnover football,

I think he'd be starting.
