Bo Nix broke his, what the hell did he break?

His ankle? His ankle?

Denver. And had surgery. Yes. Having surgery and he's out for this season. No speculation, no. He's going to try to play on it. That was an absolute stunner because I think we're all kind of just in the emotions of that game, good or bad, whether you're a fan or not. And then to get that announcement was as stunning as it comes.

And it's weird because every time I rewatch the play, I don't see it.

I don't see how he broke his ankle on that scramble play.

It wasn't scramble.

It was a design QB run, QB sweep, and defenders in the backfield three and four yards deep, he tries to shake him and he falls down. And the only thing I can guess, and this is pure guess,

is that he broke his fibula, like Daniel Jones. And it doesn't necessarily show itself. You

kind of don't really feel it. And then on the very next play, which was the heave that he threw down to Marvin Mims,

it was the pass interference and set up the game winning field goal, you can watch his drop.

He gets to his third step and he's supposed to plant and then move his body into the throw,

and he kind of just pulls up and throws a moonball.

And now you can look at it in retrospect and say, oh, yeah, something's wrong with his right ankle. Crazy. And then obviously on the kneel down, he's just limping, like, crazy off the field. And even in the post-game interview coming off the field, like you couldn't tell that he knew something. And maybe he doesn't. Maybe he feels something, but he obviously doesn't know the diagnosis. So obviously, Sean Peyton comes back. He tells the world he's out for the season. And then, and maybe this isn't a big deal to you, but I need to play it. Because I'm listening to all these post-game press conferences. Sean Payton decided to lie to Bo Nix and subsequently lie to all of us. I got to play you this clip.

And I don't know why it bothers me so much.

Maybe it's because I love history and I love the NFL and I want things to be said that's

true and not things that are made up.
