Now, the Nuggets traded up with the Phoenix Suns for the 22nd overall pick because apparently

they really wanted Dayton big man Duran Holmes

the second based on the needs based on where this team is at coming off a disappointing loss of

the Timberwolves this past season in the NBA playoffs. What do you make of this pick, Swipa?

Yeah, I think this is great for them and they have been putting it out there that this was the

guy that they wanted for over a month now.

There were reports saying that Holmes has shut down the rest of his training camp invites

because he has seemingly gotten a promise that the Nuggets were going to draft him should he get into range.

And so there's also shows how much they won him.

The fact that they gave up the 56 pick this year, the 28

pick this year in two future seconds for Holmes, it shows you how desperate they were to bring

him into the building. And again, Holmes is a 6'10 good vertical spacer. He's a good shooter.

Great switch big. He's a very good defender. And if you see how the Denver

Nuggets have built their roster, they are trying to put athletes behind Nikola Yokic from Christian

Brown, a 6'2-2-way guard to Peyton Watson, a 6-foot-7 elite defender, and now getting
