deserved day off and I think after that result today, he'll be happy. He did, but man, it was a

bad ending, but I will say it was a pretty entertaining game. Joining me for another Steve

Squared edition of PHOI is Steve Peters. Pedy, how are we feeling right now?

You know, it's a frustration level.

And I'm sure in the coaching, I'm in the locker room and getting on the bus after this game, they're frustrated.

This is a game that I think they played the right way for 40, maybe even 50 minutes of hockey where you're doing the right things on the road.

You're keeping and limiting the chances by the New York Rangers, and you were the better team throughout this game. And yet you walk away with a loss. It's hard. It's frustrating. And there's a lot of little key moments in this game that are going to be important to the Flyers that they're going to have to learn from. And I know it sucks saying that you've got to learn from stuff. What is the game that they needed to walk away with two points against a team that's incredibly fragile at home, that they had them against the wall, and you got them late in the third period, and you can't find a way to close the door just from few and some very big mistakes. Yeah, big mistakes and it killed them ultimately.

And I think one of the most frustrating things about this team early on in this season,

and I mean, we're almost halfway through the season, is like they can't seem to hold a lead.

They get a two, three goal lead and they let up the gas.

Something happens where the other team will climb back into it. And this is not how a winning hockey team plays. Like I was really hoping they would have a strong third period tonight and they would close this one out strong. And we'd all be in great spirits, you know, singing a, we'd be going Carolyn on Pass, Young Ave right now. And we're not doing any of that. We're all miserable. That's stuck. I thought we were going to get a Philly hat trick today. And no, we're not going to get it because the Eagles and the Sixers play. Hopefully they can get two out of three. That ain't too bad. But, you know, here on PHO Life Flyers, we're pretty darn mad about this. So that sucked.

I mean, is this more of a problem just like with the team as a whole and the coaching? Or is this just like a young team that is just figuring things out still? It's hard. And I am going to say one thing because I was looking at my stats before this game. And this is the first time that this team has lost a game after trailing through two. They were 10 and 0 when, excuse me, when leading after two periods,

the flags were 10 and 0 going into this game.

This is something that you got to learn to win. And I know that sounds cliche, but you got to learn a way to win. You got to learn a way to close out games. And it really falls on your veteran leadership guys to be the guys that have to pull the rope to get through this.

And those are the guys that you have to rely on and count on in that last five minutes,

and that last eight minutes and that last 10 minutes to close a game out.
