I am actually, me, let's talk about me, enough about you. I'm actually slightly nervous to go

through the comments today because I feel like I gave a controversial hot take last week where I

talked about how I don't think it should be required to get wedding gifts for people, especially if you have to travel a far distance to the wedding.

And also, if the couple is an older couple that has money that already live together and own a

home together, to me, I don't think it should be required. If it suits your fancy to do so,

do it. How giving of you?

How lovely of you?

But I don't think it should be required or expected.

Now, I didn't know how people were going to take it.

While some people, well, the majority of people agreed with me on any polls I put out,

doesn't mean that the people that don't agree won't be loud.

So this is the first time I'm looking at the

comments. We're going to do this together. I'm putting my thick skin on and I will not take

things personally. I mean, everyone might agree with me. I don't even know. But let's go.

And then 7-7 Daisies said, I got married at 33. When it comes to basic home needs, appliances, linens, etc.

Between the two of us,

we already had at least two of everything we needed. We did create a small registry for some things that could use replacing and decided to give the old ones to Goodwill or a local furniture

ministry that collects such things for charity. However, we didn't expect anyone to give anything
