0:46.7	What do different parts of the church believe?

0:55.4	Now, I've got to ask you, Tom,
1:02.8	have you been anything other than an Anglican? No, I was born and bred as a member of the Church of England, part of the worldwide Anglican Communion, and lots of my family were ordained clergy
1:09.3	or lay workers, church wardens and so on. So I grew up
1:13.9	very much in an Anglican world in the northeast of England. And there have been two or three times
1:19.9	when I've thought, you know, is this actually the right place to be? I remember when I was a student,
1:25.1	several of my friends were becoming very zealous Baptists,
1:28.3	and I remember them trying to persuade me that I should abandon this corrupt structure called
1:32.6	Anglicanism and join them in one of the new free church movements that was starting up.
1:37.9	I don't actually now remember why I didn't do that, because it was quite attractive at the time,
1:42.5	and a lot of people that I knew and respected were going that route. But there was something anchoring me to the Anglican world.
1:50.0	And I think it's particularly because the rhythm of worship and the centrality of the reading of Scripture
