Summary

Dennis Day is known as being one of the original Mickey Mouse Club Mouseketeers. He was just 12 years old back in 1955 when he was hired to appear on the show but that was a long time ago and only a small part of Dennis’ life. Fast forward 63 years to July 15, 2018, now 76-year-old Dennis Day allegedly told his roommate that he was going to visit some friends for a few days and left on foot with his dog from his home in Phoenix, Oregon. Two days prior, Dennis’ husband, Ernie, was taken to the hospital by ambulance after a fall. Ernie suffers from some memory problems, and was unable to describe what Dennis looked like currently, who his friends were, or if he had any family. In the eight months since Dennis disappeared, his loved ones have embarked on a mission to find out what happened to him, but have been left with more questions than answers.

UPDATE- On April 4, 2019, remains were located inside Dennis Day’s home. The remains have not been identified yet.

June 6, 2019 UPDATE- The remains found back in April of 2019 have been identified as Dennis Day.

0:06.0	The way I found out about Dennis' disappearance is his friends up there forced a TV news broadcast on it.
0:32.0	In my nephew who lives a couple hundred miles away saw it and reported it to me.
0:38.0	And that's when I called the police department.
0:40.0	We see that Dennis' car is still there. His finances haven't been touched.
0:45.0	He left his animals which love dearly. This isn't my brother.
0:50.0	Nobody's come forward to me to say, hey, I saw Dennis on this day. Typically what we find when we get a missing person, nine times out of ten, they're usually found at a friend's house.
1:10.0	Or we have the dementia patient who walks away from the home. We find them down the street. Typically they're found rather quickly.
1:17.0	We have an excellent search and rescue team. The county does. They're talking four wheelers, horseback helicopters. I mean, all the stops come out.
1:27.0	On this particular case, I mean, now it's two weeks behind the ball already. No idea which if he did leave on his own, which way did he go? He obviously didn't take his car.
1:35.0	So once I get to the end of the driveway, which way do I go? That's been the tough part and just no trail.
