Yep. You've known people like Dennis and Wes for what are huge chunks of your life I imagine you are more

or less exactly the same person you wear in the dressing room have has he changed?

Uh no not really still still dance still dense still a great lad very honest funny loves a pint

exactly the same as what you would see Denis Irwin 25 years ago I mean this isn't

the point of this podcast I'm gonna ask you now because I think it's interesting and other people might do.

Do you find that many people change because presumably the life you live when you're in that moment when you're a player you're incredibly famous everybody wants a piece

you're performing in front of 70,000 people each week and all of a sudden when that

side of it goes I imagine that could affect people a lot I think when you

when you look at footballers now and the things the emotional side of

it all and depression and you heard loads of stories about players going into depression that's

the way you're looking at you are a superstar in everybody's eyes and you know it stops.

You know people move on to the next the next teams and next players and so on and so on and

you're you're left thinking and wondering you know what what to do next.

Can be lonely but if you've got people around you who were loving and helpful and caring

then you know you'll be okay. Nice.
