0:51.8	knows that joke. Well, I'm so excited because we have a really great and really important show
0:57.2	for you guys today. And it's going to be about the exploration of the moratorium on evictions.
1:04.2	So we are having a bang-up show today. We're celebrating the newest achievement of Nancy Pelosi
1:10.5	and the Biden administration. In September 2020, six months into the COVID pandemic, the Trump
1:17.5	administration issued a national eviction moratorium order under Section 361 of the Public Health
1:24.7	Services Act to temporarily halt residential evictions to prevent the further spread of COVID-19
1:32.2	temporarily. Initially from through the end of 2020, it's been expanded until,
1:39.5	extended, sorry, until August 1, 2021, but the federal eviction moratorium expired Saturday.
1:45.6	And with the Democratic Party recommendations and excuses, tenants across the country are bracing
1:50.7	for impact. Speaker Nancy Pelosi exclaimed, really, we only learned about this yesterday,
1:56.5	not really enough time to socialize it within our caucus to build the consensus necessary.
2:04.0	Outside Congress and protests, Missouri Congresswoman Cory Bush slept overnight on the steps of
2:08.8	the Capitol to push the Congress to extend the moratorium, visited by supportive members of the squad,
2:13.6	AOC, Elan Omar, Jamal Bowman, Ayanna Presley, Congressman Jim McGovern, with Cory Bush calling the
2:19.7	Democratic controlled House's failure to roll call vote on Congresswoman's water's extension, a
2:26.8	moral failure. So to be clear, the Democratic Party controlled Congress didn't just fail to
2:33.7	extend the moratorium on evictions. They went on August recess, meaning that Democratic Party led
