The cliches are true. I was told all the time when I was pregnant by other moms, other parents, that time flies, right? Don't blink. It goes so fast. And honestly, I would roll my eyes to this. You kind of just nod along, whatever. Here I am with a six-month-old. I cannot believe it. All of the cliches, it is so true. Even when they say, like, each stage is better than the last, you're in the moment and you think there's no way. There's no way it can get better than the newborn, like, milk drunk. It can't get better than this. And then they start crawling. And it is better. I don't know if it's better, but

it's different, and I think your heart grows, your love intensifies,

the altruism that I feel as a parent. Oh my gosh, there's nothing

that I would not do for our little baby. As I said, she is now six months old. We just did a little photo shoot

with her, just in our house. It was really funny. We went to, my husband and I, we went to Hobby Lobby.

I told him I had this vision. We were going to, you know, create this little banner thing.

And I wanted to make these little party hats for her stuffed animals. I'm going to put a

picture on screen so you know what I'm talking about. And my husband told me, he's like, Riley, you're not creative. You can't do that.

I said, watch me. Of course, we have her face blurred here as we have made the decision as parents

in this crazy world full of creeps that we're not going to show her face online. But hopefully

you still get a good idea.

Of just how much she's grown. Oh my gosh, it makes me so sad. You can see her little feet

in this picture, too. I say little feet. She really has huge feet. If she's anything like her mom

or dad, I imagine she will be a swimmer. She's crawling now, like very mobile, which is concerning.

I long for the days where you could put her in one spot,

leave the room for a few moments, come back and know she was going to be there.

That is no longer the case.

She's reaching for things now, which is really sweet, especially with the dogs.

She, like, notices them now,

and she just wants to reach out and grab their face. What else is she doing now? She protest her
