of evil spirits. Go tell the world what prayers can do beyond all

devils and witches and what it is that these monsters love to do.

This account of devils and Riches, written by Cotton Mother, a New England minister published in 1689, tells the story of Anne Glover, an Irish immigrant and of four children from Boston afflicted by demons.

The story proceeds to Salem witch trials by four years.

It's a stepping stone between the witch finder general and his trials in England and the

Salem witch trials in America with links and ties to both. Theirs is a story of

demonic possession and witchcraft in the harsh environment of the new world.
