President Joe Biden defensively fielded questions at a press conference

marking the end of the NATO summit in Washington, D.C. at times he garbled

his words and made blunders such as accidentally referring to his Vice President

Kamler Harris as as vice president Trump.

Earlier he mistakenly introduced Vladimir Zelensky Ukraine's president as President Putin.

When asked if he would reconsider his decision to stay in the race, if shown data by his

team that Miss Harris would fare better against Donald Trump, the President said,

quote, no, unless you came the President said, quote,

no, unless you came back and said there's no way you can win.

Mr. Trump's lead in public polls currently equals the largest he has had

in any of his three presidential campaigns.

America's Consumer Price Index rose by 3% year on year in June,

down from 3.3% in May. The release was lower than analysts were expecting

after accelerating earlier this year. Monthly inflation fell for the first time since 2020.
