Donald Trump is the next president of the United States and it's his most extreme incarnation, the people around

him the most extreme yet. How the hell has this happened? The democratic establishment

were really cocky. They really briefed in the moment up to this that they thought they had this.

And they were talking about a really decisive victory for Kamala Harris

and her faction, I suppose, of the Democratic Party. Well, that hasn't happened. It's been a

catastrophe for them. And now the consequences are going to be felt not just by the US, but by the

rest of the world. But I think we know what's going to happen. They're not going to accept that accountability and they're going to look elsewhere. And that struggle is really important. What happens next will be determined by the question of accountability. I'm at the Democratic Socialists of America Watch Party here in Brooklyn.
