We begin in Israel whose military said this morning that it recovered the bodies of six

hostages taken by Hamas in the October 7th attack. Five of the hostages were over 50 years old when they were captured

while three had family members that were released during a ceasefire in November.

The bodies were recovered during an overnight operation in southern Gaza.

The mission came as the United States, Egypt and Qatar are working to mediate a new ceasefire deal between Israel and Hamas that would include the release of the remaining captives held by the militant group.
