Let's talk about some good news here.

We've gotten a raft of court decisions that may very well allow Democrats to flip the house in 2024.

So just days ago in like the single most consequential decision,

this cycle, an appeals court in New York ordered the congressional maps to be redrawing.

Here's a bit of background.

New York relies on an independent redistricting commission to create its maps.

But ahead of the last midterm cycle, ahead of 2022, when that commission met to draw new district lines,

it was deadlocked along party lines.

So we got to the point where the commission wouldn't even meet anymore.

And so the Democratic legislature took over the process and drew its own lines,

which were of course favorable to Democrats.

Republicans sued and New York's highest court, sided with Republicans,
