| 0:39.6 | vote. This bill would ban five biotech companies with ties to the CCP from working |
| 0:46.3 | with anybody who gets money from the U.S. government. These companies are BGI, MGI, Complete Genomics, |
| 0:53.9 | Wushi AppTech, and Wushi Biologics. |
| 0:57.1 | And supporters of the Biosuke Act state |
| 0:59.2 | that this ban is necessary to protect |
| 1:01.8 | the personal health of genetic information of Americans, |
| 1:05.4 | as well as US pharmaceutical supply chains. |
| 1:08.3 | And remember this is important too |
| 1:09.8 | because the Chinese Communist Party |
| 1:11.3 | using biometrics and again even collecting data on Americans is doing many |
| 1:17.0 | things along those lines. For example they use biometrics for their |
| 1:21.2 | surveillance systems. They use it to create profiles and individuals tied in |
| 1:26.1 | again with the whole, you know, identity |
