It is now China Week on the House floor.

Republicans and Democrats are uniting behind policies to rein in the influence of the Chinese Communist Party.

And right now House congressional members are pushing a new series of bills

that look to take on issues from biotech to farmland,

again related to the Chinese Communist Party.

Now, these bills are at the forefront this week as the House of Representatives

come back from summer break.

One of the bills, the Biosacure Act, has already actually passed the House

vote. This bill would ban five biotech companies with ties to the CCP from working

with anybody who gets money from the U.S. government. These companies are BGI, MGI, Complete Genomics,

Wushi AppTech, and Wushi Biologics.

And supporters of the Biosuke Act state

that this ban is necessary to protect

the personal health of genetic information of Americans,

as well as US pharmaceutical supply chains.

And remember this is important too

because the Chinese Communist Party

using biometrics and again even collecting data on Americans is doing many

things along those lines. For example they use biometrics for their

surveillance systems. They use it to create profiles and individuals tied in

again with the whole, you know, identity
