Tom Perez, the next DNC chair.

Too bad.

It's not Keith Ellison, but I would join Senator Bernie Sanders and others, issuing a unity call behind

Tom Perez, a man who was very much a part of a great campaign by Keith Ellison, is here

with us in studio, Larry Cohen, who's also chair of the board of Bernie's new group, Our Revolution.

Larry, good to see you.

Yeah, great to be here.

So, you know, Keith was taken on the Democratic establishment, and the establishment once again

failed to, I don't know, what, see the writing on the wall or reflect where the American people really are

yeah I think that's true I mean I would say the good news would be that um by acclamation

Keith was elected deputy chair now it's a question what does that mean and uh you know I would

say if Tom was here hey Tom good campaign look forward to working with you

again but you know this needs to be a real partnership that's what those results

show and what what is it about the I mean first of all this the D&C in a sense I

was not surprised I mean it took strongly supporting Keith I think Keith would have been the guy. He's the grassroots guy. He's the progressive. He's the guy we need. He's got the energy. The Democratic Party establishment just doesn't seem to want to let go, right? Is that what it is? Yeah, I mean, I think most, that's true in many organizations, to be fair. Yeah, true.

Right.

And definitely true here.

It was amazing.

It was almost a virtual tie on the first ballot.

Yeah.

Again, we don't know exactly who voted which ways, despite the rules.
