Republican Javier Villalobos just won the mayoral race in McAllen, Texas, a town which is 85% Hispanic and located in a county, Hidalgo Country, which went for Biden by 17 points in 2020. This shocking result may very well be the Democrats' canary in a coal mine, signaling a dramatic demographic shift unpredicted by the political elites and the consultant class. For years, Republicans have been told that if they only accepted mass amnesty and an open border, Hispanics would flock to the GOP.
