It's the day after what would have been my father's 85th birthday. Happy birthday, Dad. Let's get to it so we can get through it. I'm Derek Hunter. This is the Derek Hunter podcast for that day. And it's going to be abbreviated because it's very late. And I've got two sick cats. I got one cat was still with a squinty eye wringo he's 15

don't know they want to like put him under and poke around in his eye or something I don't know

he's got a big heart murmur and 15 years old I'm not sure cat can handle that. We'll see. And then Veruca, the 14-year-old,

just seemed off this morning. I had to take her to emergency care, just off. She had 105

temperature. They gave her subcutaneous fluids and she also I think she threw up this morning,

which isn't all that uncommon for these, for all these cats. Somebody's puking everywhere.

And then she's on antibiotics. She ate a little today.

She definitely got a lot better after the first dose, a couple hours after the first dose of antibiotics.

And so we'll see.

I'm smearing stuff and Ringo's eye and that doesn't seem to be doing anything.

So I don't know what the hell's going on.

You're going to have to try and find a waiter at time to sneak off.

But thank God for 24. thank God for veterinarians.

24-hour emergency vet hospitals.

That's nice because I would not be able to function with that.

Just like a sick kid.

I can't do it.
