Today, I spoke with Reverend Greg Lewis who runs two Wisconsin-based organizations,

Souls to the Poles and Power to the Poles.

Welcome.

Thanks for having me.

Can you tell us a little bit about yourself and who you are?

I'm the Assistant Pastor St. Gabriel's Church of God in Christ.

I'm the founder and president of an organization called Passers United, where we do community

advocacy.

It's actually Passers United Community Advocacy Inc.

I'm the Executive Director of Souls to the Poles, and I'm also chairman of the Board

of Power to the Poles.

So you just mentioned two organizations that we'd love to hear more about, Souls to the

Poles and Power to the Poles.

Can you tell us about when and why they got started?

We started an organization called Passers United, and it was about 300 faith leaders working

together doing community advocacy.

And in 2011 or 2012, Valerie Jarrick came to visit with us.

And we met with her in the basement of one of our churches.

And she gave a very important message to pastors here in the area.
