In late March, over 2,000 people packed into the historic Riverside Church in New York

to celebrate the 30th anniversary of Democracy Now.

Today, in this special, we bring you highlights from the evening.

Let's go back to that night. It is our absolute honor to welcome you all here to Democracy

Now is 30th anniversary.

It is hard to contemplate a celebration at this time.

Amidst the U.S. Israeli war on Iran and other armed conflicts, rising authoritarianism,

power-hungry, billionaires, and the worsening climate catastrophe. But gatherings like this are essential. To remind us that the gathering storm, despite the forces of oppression that threaten us all on the

planet, there is a force more powerful.
