Voice of Mahmoud Khalil, the Columbia student protest negotiator, who was seized by federal

agents three weeks ago and remains locked up in an ice jail in Louisiana.

He's featured in The Encapments, a new documentary on the nationwide student uprising against U.S. support for Israel's war on Gaza.

As the Trump administration escalates its crackdown on international students, we'll speak

to two other encampment leaders at Columbia, as well as the film's producer.

But first, the four-time Grammy-winning hip-hop artist McElmore, who's the executive producer

of the encampments.

I was so moved by their bravery and taking over Hamilton Hall,

you know, being reminded of resistance movements of the past,

of seeing that the students have never been wrong.

They have always been on the right side of history.

A 7.7 magnitude earthquake has hit central Burma, also known as Myanmar, with powerful tremors
