Students at Columbia University occupy Hamilton Hall and rename it Hind Hall after the six-year-old

Palestinian girl Hind Rajab killed by Israeli soldiers in Gaza.

Other Columbia students face suspension as they continue their Gaza solidarity encampment.

As police crack down on student protesters around the country, Democracy Now went to

Columbia to speak to professors and students.

Hundreds of our students have been disciplined over the past six months on unfair promises.

We're willing to put a lot on the line for this cause.

My right to education shouldn't come before the right to education of causes.

We'll also speak with Genocide scholar, Brown University Professor Omar Bartopf, about allegations

of anti-Semitism by protesters and the weaponizing language. He was at the U-Pen encampment.

And an Israeli airstrike in Gaza has killed the oldest daughter

and the baby grandson of the prominent Palestinian poet and academic refat Elavir, who himself was

killed in an Israeli airstrike in December, will speak with the friend of the family,

jihad Abu Saline.
