But the notion that somehow the United States runs the show has become obsolete.

20 years after the US invasion of Iraq, we speak to retired Colonel Andrew Basovich,

a vocal critic of US foreign policy after 9-11.

We'll talk about this week's meeting between Xi Jinping and Vladimir Putin and Moscow,

the war in Ukraine, the 2003 US invasion of Iraq, where he lost his son and more.

Then we go to Sami Rizuli, a beloved Iraqi American restaurant tour in Minneapolis, who

moved back to Iraq after the US invasion and founded the Muslim peacemaker team.

He's been a regular guest on democracy now over the past two decades.

I see the war is pointless because there are lots of agony and disastrous results for the

Iraqis.
