On May 14, 2022, a racist white supremacist entered Top's friendly market in

Buffalo, New York. He wasn't there to buy food, or lottery tickets, or cigarettes.

He had other plans, brandishing in AR-15. The teenage white gunman entered the market

to carry out a premeditated mass murder.

Peyton Gendron shot 13 black shoppers that day in Buffalo, killing 10 of them.

In a manifesto, obtained after the mass murder, we learned that Gendron was attempting to kill

as many black people as possible. He devised an elaborate timeline for the attack, named

the weapon he would use, and mapped out a plan to live stream the entire event.

He cited Dylan Roof as one of his inspirations. Roof was the white supremacist who killed

nine people during a Bible study in Charleston, South Carolina in 2015.
