get right to it. First, a veteran U.S. Capitol police officer officers been arrested for allegedly encouraging a suspected

insurrectionist to hide evidence of their involvement in the violent riot.

A grand jury indictment has charged Officer Michael Angelo Riley with obstruction of justice

for repeatedly telling the man to wipe any social media posts that would prove that he

entered the building that day.

According to the indictment, in a direct message on Facebook, Riley said, quote,

I am a capital police officer who agrees with your political stance. Take down the part about
