Summary

ABC News political analyst Matt Dowd joins Senior Executive Producer Chris Vlasto to discuss Mueller’s upcoming congressional appearance: "It will get people focused." Dowd, former chief strategist for President Bush, also gives insight into Vice President Biden's chances in the democratic primary: "When you get a hundred percent name I.D. and you're getting 30 percent of the vote, that's concerning." Later, the conversation turns to partisanship in the 2020 race: "Democracies don't work when people are so tribal."

1:14.1

What's the effect of that?

1:16.1

1:21.6

it's like the difference between how much effect a book has

1:24.4

versus the movie about the book or the play about the book. And so I think

1:29.0

it will have that sort of appeal. It'll get people focused that may not have been actually

1:34.1

focused fully on what was in the Mueller report other than what was described as what was in it.

1:38.3
