Russia's never had a political culture, not really.

They had Tsarist serfdom, then they had a revolution that failed. Then they tried this kind of half-ass like parliamentary democracy thing. Then a revolution blew that apart. Then it became a totalitarian nightmare that just had some mild shifts here and there throughout the, you know, the 20th century. Then that fell apart. Then you had Yeltsin. Then you had Putin. And now here we are. It doesn't seem like there's very many politics going on there. It seems like it's kind of just a long like chain of just sort of like corrupt overthrowing of power.
