It has been a rough week for air travel and it is only going to get worse.

The latest numbers are out. They are expecting 52 million people to travel over this long

4th of July weekend period, the most ever in history for some reason, including the record 49

million set in 2019. So two million more people are going to fly than the pre-pandemic 4th of July

weekend. And our air travel system, as we all know, ain't as good now as it was then for a whole

bunch of different reasons. Well, first of all, a whole bunch of people got laid off during COVID

haven't come back. And then there's all kinds of different things going on with airlines and the FAA

that are weird, including starting this weekend. I did not know this.
