0:04.0	And today we're going to be talking about purpose.
0:06.4	I'm going to take a few different approaches to purpose than I think I've ever seen on the

0:12.8	Maybe that's a big, bold statement.
0:15.5	It's not like I've watched every video on the internet about purpose.
0:19.0	And there's also like 400,000 books on purpose on
0:23.9	Amazon. Some ridiculous number, it might be 250,000. But either way, it's a lot. There's a lot of
0:29.7	content out there about purpose. And the reason for that is that purpose is kind of a nebulous
0:34.2	thing. It's not something that's so clear and concise. If you look up the
0:39.0	definition of purpose, it's the reason for which something is done or the reason for which something
0:47.0	exists. So when you think about your purpose as a man, as a human being, that is an astronomically huge concept and question to try and
0:59.5	grapple, right? Why do I exist as a man? Why do I exist as a human being? And for most of us,
1:08.7	we're not going to really have an answer to this question. And we're not really going to have any kind of assimilation of what that might mean. And so I wanted to take this in a few different veins. I wanted to talk about a popular culture reference in Dune and the reference to purpose there. I want to talk about
1:30.0	my definition, how I define purpose. And I want to talk about how you can actually go about
1:35.3	beginning to look for and at your own purpose. And I think maybe look for is the wrong way of
1:42.3	putting it, right? Because you're not necessarily looking for your purpose. Purpose is an emergence. It's a property or a sort of alchemical
1:50.9	trait or characteristic of existence that emerges. It's not something that you go and seek of,
1:58.8	right? It's not something that you, you know, it's not like gold where you sort of walk out into the wilderness and you start to pan for gold.
