Welcome to the Laker Film Room podcast. I'm Pete, joined by Darius and Mike. And we've been talking a lot

about the Lakers roster this week, or at least the potential direction of it, with a focus on StarGards,

right? The guy who can get downhill, hit a pull-up jumper, and the place that I landed on,

and I think maybe we all have the same, or maybe we all have different lines, but wherever it is,

of saying, for me personally, one guy is worth kind of going in that direction, which then

begs the question of, well, if that guy's not

available, then what direction do you go in?

And for me, the next path that I think is worth going down is exploring really, is building

the Lakers through the lens of their defense first and then working backward from there to get the offense that the team

needs. Now, I don't know where this leads, but this is my initial inclination, is I'm watching

these playoffs and there's a great second round series going on between Denver and Minnesota going on

right now, where I feel like pretty much every win of that series

has been way more dictated by the defense, with the exception of just like a monster

Yokic game.
