show because he knows what he's talking about. He's coached the position, he played

the position of cornerback at a very high level and if you look at his track record he's been doing a pretty good job of

Projecting players into the NFL and breaking down what he sees from players in the NFL and on the

49ers so Eric always a pleasure thanks for jumping on and talking D. B.'s with

me today. Oh yeah man thanks for having me on. All right, let's, uh, we're trying to pretend like we didn't just talk about wide receivers,

but uh, yeah, we recorded this podcast.

podcast probably a week before you're hearing it but I want to talk about the

the 49ers defensive backs and how they played this year and I was pretty

impressed obviously you had to be pretty impressed by what the 49ers were able to get out of

Jason Verret off the scrap heap. I didn't even think he was going to be on the roster this year after how his season ended last year and what everything happened with his career and his injuries

it blew my mind and now it's like oh crap how much did they have to pay

Jason Verret to bring him back again now because he's almost indispensable

especially if Sherman's not going to be around.

We'll talk more about Sherman, but let's start with Varet.
