I asked for someone who plays defense. We'll see if we get somebody from the defensive side of the

ball because this game today was won for a number of reasons, but number one by far was the

defense. Dominant all day long, against, yes, a giant

offense that really struggled last year and the year before, and is at the very least a mystery

this year with Russell Wilson at quarterback. They did not have their best offensive lineman,

Andrew Thomas, for the game.

That was an issue for them, no doubt, up front. But also no doubt was how Washington's D

owned, dominated the line of scrimmage. The Giants could not run the football at all. Run defense,

the biggest weakness last year, the biggest

question mark coming into this year. Through one game, it looks a lot better. It's just one game.

Week one, always difficult to measure and evaluate because year in and year out, week one tends to be a head fake. It tends to fool us.

But one thing that's not going to fool us is just how much bigger Washington is up front defensively.
