1:02.4	co-hosts, Amy Bird and Todd Pruitt. And today we have a special guest. The guest is
1:08.4	Professor Francis Beckwith, who is Professor of Philosophy and Church
1:12.7	State Studies at Bailey University in Texas. And the reason we've invited Frank on to join us is
1:19.5	we're living in an era where two things, I think, are happening that are closely connected
1:25.9	and will be of relevance to all Christians.
1:29.7	One of them is the rise in identity politics issues.
1:34.4	Perhaps the most obvious historically has been that of abortion, but we're now facing
1:39.1	questions relating to gay marriage and even beyond that, transgender questions are coming up with remarkable
1:46.6	regularity. And on the other hand, we're also facing an era where more and more of key decisions
1:55.3	in that kind of framework are being made by law courts. Politics is becoming a very lightigious exercise at the moment.
2:05.4	So Frank is one of those people who is uniquely qualified to comment on both issues.
2:11.6	And I want to kick off our discussion today by mentioning for our listeners, Frank's excellent book, Defending Life,
