Today I'm going to start by telling you about confused information about the Bible.

And it's a story about one of those country churches where the church council actually interviews the prospective members.

And so this candidate for membership came in front of the council, and the council asked him

the question, what is your favorite book of the Bible? He said, the book of parables. A book of parables.

Yep. He said, tell us about it. So that's how he went about it.

This young man said, once upon a time a man went down from Jerusalem to Jericho, and he fell upon thieves.

And the thorns grew up and choked that man. And he went on, and he did not have no money. And he met the queen of

Sheba. And she gave that man, I mean, gave that man a thousand talents of golden silver and a hundred changes of raiments.

And when he was driving along under the fig tree, his hair caught in a limb.

And he was left there hanging.

He then hung there many days and many nights. And ravens brought him food to eat and water to drink.

And one night, when he was just hanging there, his wife, Dalaila, came along and cut his hair.

And then he dropped and fell on a stony ground.

And it rained for 40 days and 40 nights.

And he hid himself in a cave. And the man went out into the highways and the byways, and he compelled him to come in. And he went on and came to Jerusalem. And there

he saw the Queen Jezebel sitting high on the window. And when she saw him,

she laughed. So he said, throw her down out here. So they threw her down. And he said,

throw her down again. And they threw her down again. Seventy times seven. And the fragments they picked up

were 12 baskets full. Now, whose wife shall she be in the day of judgment?

Well, actually, the council members felt very unqualified to question this man's biblical knowledge, and he joined the church.

Well, before we dismiss this, I wonder, this is me, just I wonder how many people who have

confused and fuzzy ideas about the Bible. I just wonder how many people do not have a clue
