I want to start this post-game edition a little bit differently.

Michigan did take down Nebraska on Tuesday night.

The game that certainly wasn't pretty, Wolverines had to eke past a team that has not won

in Big Ten play.

And I know that amongst Michigan, Twitter, this was probably not the most highly discussed

item on that Tuesday night and into Wednesday morning.

Regardless, I do want to touch on something we had a chance to do on Tuesday's radio broadcast, and one of the many reasons why it

really is a special program. It's a special athletic department. C.J. Baird, who was a fan favorite

for the Wolverines through this past season.

He joined Terry Mills and I on the broadcast along our Learfield Radio Network,

and he was on the sidelines, court side, given us some interesting perspective.

He came to me wanting to learn more about broadcasting, wanting to stay involved.

And it's not just CJ with broadcast.

We'll have them again coming up later this season for the Rutgers home game.

But it's Austin Davis, or Rico Zuna Harrison, who are still helping out around the program

before and after home games.

It is guys like Duncan Robinson coming to a game when the Miami Heat are in town.

It is all these other players who maybe can't be physically in Ann Arbor, in the state of Michigan,

but they still check in via social media.

They are in touch with players and coaches within the current program,

paying it forward and continuing to be a part of the Michigan basketball family.

It's something that on the radio broadcast, I'm consistently blessed by. I'm so thankful
