Las Vegas is an entertainment mecca.

You have to really put on a show in order to make a crowd of more than 10,000 people,

ooh and ah.

Only the best of the best get to perform here.

And while Michigan did earn the victory over UNLV, the true showstopper,

the person who made Friday's crowd come to life was freshman Musa Diabate.

From his poster jam early in his first tent on the floor to his two

blocks, it had to have been more than two blocks, by the way. Anyways, I digress. Diabate was the

closest thing to Las Vegas on Friday night in the game. Flashy, electrifying, at times unfathomable.

Michigan got big contributions for many to shoo away a pesky and a game UNLV team, but it was Diabate, the team-wide favorite, the talent-dripping

mega prospect who shine brightest on the strip. You aren't going to see that type of game

every time out for Moose, at least not yet.

He's still raw. Didn't pick up the game of basketball until the age of 12. But when Musa puts

things together, like he did against the rebels, 14 points, seven rebounds, plus 12 over 21 minutes,

he is a show stopper. And what's great was at the end, Musa was at the line for a couple of

free throws. The game had been decided, but ah, it's Vegas. And the Vegas action was still

very much on the line. And sure enough, Musa went out and hit a couple of free throws. That was the

only area he had struggled before that moment.

Like a great showman, Diabate saves something for the grand finale.

And in the process, he helped Michigan reach the final of the Roman main event.

It was a late one.
