So often this season, if Michigan hit a certain guardrail or a checkpoint, or if Michigan had

success in a particular aspect where they felt like they'd have an advantage, it meant great things.

It meant a blowout type of a win.

And going into Friday's Sweet 16 matchup with Alabama, it felt like that could be the three-point

shot.

If Michigan controlled that area,

then you'd figure the Wolverines would overwhelm the Crimson Tide. Well, at halftime,

Michigan was 8 for 15. That's 53%. Alabama, trying to win that three-point lottery,

sat at just 9 for 24, 37.5%. Yet the tide led by two going to intermission. Seriously,

how? But like so many times this year, Michigan kept wearing out a team. There was a similar

discrepancy in the second half. Michigan was 5 of 12 from the long line. That's 42%. Alabama, five for 23.

That's 22%. And thus, the Wolverines blitzed Bama after halftime to the tune of a 43-28 advantage

order restored. Because as we've learned, for a now program record 34 times in 37 games, Michigan has a

ton of answers.

The Wolverines had not answered every question or won every game, but when something doesn't

quite go smoothly, they're able to overcome it.

Michigan's big three front court, which has willed the maze and blue to so many wins this season.

Really only only had one guy clicking on all cylinders against the tide.

Adymarra never quite got newly the flow, partly because Michigan had so much success from deep.
