Last year, a common question for Dusty May was, how is this team going to clean up the

turnovers? Wolverines were one of the worst turnover teams in the Big Ten, and that was an area

that even if Michigan was playing with more possessions than they did under Joanne Howard

or John B-line, they still weren't at the point where the turnover margin and the turnover

rate made a whole lot of sense compared to what

they were trying to accomplish. For this season, obviously when you are now 17 and 1, like

Michigan is after the wire-to-wire victory over Indiana, there aren't as many questions about,

oh, why haven't you fixed this? How are you going to get to this point with a certain category?

Coach May did get a question early on in the calendar year about, hey, is it going to help

to get a close game to see what your team does to react?

And it was a totally fair question.

It made sense.

Just Michigan had played a lot of blowouts to that point in the season.

But the one area, based on Michigan's complexion of the roster,

was based on rebounding. And if you look at this game, Michigan lived up to the challenge,

did what they needed to do, and then some. Michigan, in the first half of this ballgame,

outrebounded Indiana 24 to 8. They gave up 20 second chance points to Oregon in the win on Saturday out in Eugene. Indiana

Mustard just four. Overall for the game, Michigan was 41 to 25 in rebounds. It was an impressive

performance all around from the maize in blue. And you look at the guys who you would anticipate

to be good rebounders.
