Last month, we caught up with two of Michigan men's basketball's incoming freshmen. This week,

we get to know two more with two very different journeys to this point and arrivals in Ann Arbor.

Oscar Goodman is a New Zealand native. He moved Ann Arbor at the start of this calendar year and has been

in Michigan for most of the last eight months, other than some Feeba World Cup action

with Team New Zealand, and then a quick trip with Will Cheddar to do some fishing and

boating during the team's two-week summer break back in mid-August.

More than four months after Oscar Goodman's arrival in Ann Arbor to take in winter

semester to have a red shirt, Michigan became a possibility for our other

guest here this week, Ricky Leibird.

Lybert was originally committed and signed to Coastal Carolina's class of 2025, but a change

on their staff prompted a re-rack of his recruiting process.

A month later, before ever having stepped on campus, the Florida

native Leibird committed to Michigan. It is early September. Nothing is solidified.

Rotations, rolls, potential red shirts, all of that. But these two Wolverines have shown that they

are willing to consider the big picture. Goodman took advantage of an earlier

arrival time in Ann Arbor to get ahead on school in practice with his strength and conditioning,

all while providing some critical help on scout team last winter during that wild ride to a

big 10 tournament title and to the NCAA tournament suite 16. Liberd has mentioned and will

on this podcast the fact that he is open to a longer path as well. We all wonder how three,

four, five-year players can be a reality in this new era of college basketball, and I'm not

here to guarantee anything with these two or anybody else
