Through five games, Michigan's scoring balance has been something to behold.

0:04.4

That was the case until Monday's win over Virginia Tech game number six.

0:08.6

Before then, no Wolverine had scored more than 19 points in a game.

0:12.6

And by game, the difference in points between Michigan's top score and second leading score was, in chronological order, three, one, two, two, and three.

0:24.7

On Monday, Michigan certainly needed some strong individual waves of contributions from many

0:30.2

players. Will Cheddar provided a huge first half spark. Trey Donaldson, who did not log a point

0:35.8

or an assist in the first half, delivered nine points

0:39.2

and two dimes after the half, and he led Michigan in plus minus overall.

0:44.2

Vlad Golden had a few key dunks in defensive stands, even Ruben Jones, who has contributed

0:48.4

in most areas beyond scoring as he ramps up in his Michigan first season. He had quite a finish to put an exclamation point on the win.

1:02.7

and against the Hokies, that was Roddy Gale Jr.

1:06.2

Gail delivered 20 for Michigan, the first 20-point performance. And he doubled up Michigan's next

1:13.4

leading score. That was Will Cheddar at 10. Gale was 6 to 13 from the floor, two of six from

1:19.1

downtown, which was above where Michigan was as a team, and 6 of 6 from the line. Earth-shattering?

1:24.6

No, not at all. But he was a calming force as Michigan slowly crawled back

1:29.2

from an early 11-point deficit to earn what became a 12-point win. Dusty May has talked about it

1:35.3

for months. He expects a different score most nights to lead the way. He wants balance and he feels

1:41.7

like this team has the type of talent where they can be balanced

1:45.6

and they can kind of bounce back and forth who is score number one in a game and until

1:51.1

Monday that was the case and heck if you take out Roddy's 20 here were Michigan's other

1:56.2

scores they had 1099-887 and 4 so So, yeah, that desired result still came about, save one exception.
