This offseason has been one of change for Michigan women's basketball.

As we discussed with head coach Kim Barnes-Riko back on episode 258 of Defend the Block,

there had never been an offseason of transfer portal activity like this one for the program.

And obviously it's never easy when something like that happens,

but even though this is a first of its kind transfer portal off

season, it coincides with a first of its kind incoming class.

The closest thing in terms of recruiting analysis at the time of the official signings to

Michigan's incoming freshman class was the class of 2018.

That group led by all-time Wolverine great Nas Hillman, laid the foundation
