The feeling of finality.

Oftentimes in college basketball, a regular season finale doesn't have much of that because of what's to come.

A conference tournament for the 68 teams that are fortunate enough to advance beyond that, the NCAA tournament.

The biggest time of the year follows a regular season finale.

Yet, on Sunday afternoon at Chrysler Center, there did feel like plenty of finality

to what took place.

Michigan finishing off its first last place run in the Big Ten since 1967, and they suffered

their 10th home loss in 15 tries, 85 to 70.

Not just the fact that Michigan suffered yet another loss and another one at home,

which is not how you want to get things done and have success in college basketball,

but just the way this thing played out was very similar to what we've seen from Michigan

so much this season.

A first half that carried with it, tons of offense for both sides.

Michigan trying to match basket for basket while its defenses wasn't able to catch up.

And it was really staggering some of the numbers from Nebraska in the first 20 minutes of

action.

Huskers scored 50 points and 44 of them either came beyond the three point line. They were 6 of 12 or in the

painted area, 26 points in the paint before halftime. Nebraska shot 70% overall in Kese,

Tomi Naga had 23 on 9 of 12 shooting. That's just happened too much for Michigan this season.

An offense that can hang around and a defense that simply isn't able to slow down

enough teams, top option, secondary option, third options.

And it resulted in not just Nebraska's second road Big Ten win of the season, but also a couple of blowouts for the Huskers over Michigan this year.
